Ethiopia to Host Major International Agri-Business Expo Bringing Together Participants from More Than 75 Countries
Three-day Addis Ababa Expo to connect Ethiopian producers and businesses with global markets
ADDIS ABABA, ETHIOPIA — September 6, 2026 — A press conference took place on Friday, September 4, announcing the Agri-Business International Expo 2026, an international trade and exhibition platform that will bring together agricultural producers, manufacturers, food processors, exporters, investors, exhibitors and brands from more than 75 countries.
The Expo will be held from 5th to 7th November 2026 at the Convention Center in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, under the motto:
“Connecting Ethiopian Agriculture to Global Markets.”
The event is being organized in conjunction with the Ethiopia Ministry of Trade, and Nordic Trading PLC and Africa Trade House Universal.
The Expo is expected to create a major meeting point between Ethiopian businesses and international companies seeking opportunities in Ethiopia and the wider African market.
A Gateway to Global Agricultural Markets
The organizers say the Expo will showcase the breadth and potential of Ethiopia’s agricultural and agribusiness sectors while providing practical opportunities for international trade and investment.
Manufacturers, exhibitors and brands from more than 75 countries across Africa and around the globe are expected to participate, presenting products, technologies, equipment and services covering different areas of the agricultural value chain.
These include:
- Crop production and agricultural products
- Food processing and value addition
- Agricultural machinery and equipment
- Seeds, inputs and technologies
- Packaging and logistics
- Export and international trade
- Agricultural finance and investment
- Processing and manufacturing
- Agricultural technology and innovation
Connecting Ethiopian Producers with International Business
A key objective of the Expo is to create direct connections between Ethiopian producers and international buyers, manufacturers, distributors, investors and strategic partners.
The event will provide opportunities for business-to-business meetings, product exhibitions, networking, investment discussions and the development of long-term commercial partnerships.
For international exhibitors and brands, the Expo will offer an opportunity to explore Ethiopia’s agricultural market and establish relationships with local businesses and institutions.
For Ethiopian companies, it will provide a platform to increase international visibility, identify new markets and develop export-oriented partnerships.
Organizers Invite Businesses and Strategic Partners
Manufacturers, food-processing companies, exhibitors, brands, agricultural businesses, investors, buyers and development partners are being invited to participate in the three-day event.
The organizers are encouraging companies interested in trade, investment, technology transfer, market expansion and agricultural value addition to use the Expo as a platform for building new partnerships.
The release from the office on the President of Africa Trade House Universal pointed al
“The Agri-Business International Expo is designed to create meaningful connections between Ethiopian agriculture and the global marketplace. We want producers, manufacturers, buyers, investors and technology providers to meet, exchange ideas and build partnerships that generate lasting economic opportunities.”
An International Platform for Trade and Investment
With participation expected from more than 75 countries, the Expo is positioned as more than a conventional exhibition. It aims to serve as a business platform connecting producers, markets, capital, technology and international partnerships.
The organizers believe stronger connections between agricultural producers and global markets can support increased exports, value addition, investment and job creation while strengthening Ethiopia’s position in international agricultural trade.
